The Paris L.A. Show....

October 14th is around the corner and the studio is shifting into high gear to get ready for a wild night. More details to come on what this show is all about. A little teaser, let's say sultry sweet cottons, earth tone dyes, and lots of water...Location will be Union Station in Downtown L.A.

If we can find a good wifi connection, we will stream the event live on our site with the innovative technology of http://www.ivtweb.com/

Greg Pulier of IVT was the brains and technology behind our first and internet first..."ArtCast". We streamed live video of the opening night of the exhibition ORIGINS and the performance piece. This interactive internet experience included a real time chat from the gallery to the world wide net and back. Over 120 viewers from around the globe including, France, Japan, Sweden, London and Brooklyn N.Y. interacted with real time text chat and images they could upload into our spontaneous slide show which was experienced by the gallery patrons via a large wall projection.

For some eye candy, click here to watch the film "Origins" that was presented at the exhibit.

STUDIO BEYLERIAN Celebrates 7 years creating together...

It was August 28th, 1999 when Judith Bodart and Gregory Beylerian made a commitment for life, to be together in love and creativity. From that day, we began merging our love for each other and the things that we create.
G&J

Today we are proud to share the fruits of our labour of love through the construction of this new web site.....STUDIO BEYLERIAN. It is here that you will find an organized plethora of stimuli that we hope will excite and inspire you. Of course all of these creations pale in comparison to the birth our our beautiful Lunabelle, Truly our greatest gift arriving during this 7th year. She brings to us a profound experience of love like nothing else we have ever experienced or created.

We invite you to check back now and again, perhaps even subscribe to our RSS feed, as we evolve into new and unchartered territories. Our ship is set to sail, ready to discover, We're off!

All our best,

Greg, Jude & Luna...

The STUDIO returns to L.A. after 3 months in France.

Perhaps one of the grander challenges of travel we can recall. That would include 6 pieces of luggage (with baby stroller) one beautiful baby, and a healthy chunk of the studio gear. Equipment brought: Photographic gear including 2 cameras, lenses, portable strobes, tripods and light stands. Audio recording gear, video equipment and of course a slightly trimmed down yet still complete drawing kit. Thankfully, we already had sewing machines, textiles and many other tools already in place at the family studio located in the 14th area of Paris.

2 months were spent in Paris with mini adventures to beautiful cities as far north as Amsterdam where great contemporary art is being generated. 1 month was spent in Cadenet, located in Provence. We lived in a stone house built around the 15th century. It was situated in the middle of a vineyard with mountains landscaping the background.

These three months were quite prolific for the studio:

1. A new collection of drawings were born called "The Cadenet Series" Click here to view them.

2. A beautiful new film was created using stop motion photography. The music for this short was created by Alain Martinez and we recorded it in the Paris studio. Click here to view film.

3. A 10 song cd of classic French street music was created while in Provence. The recording is comprised of well known compositions and a few originals by Mieke Bodart. We recorded this album on a roof top in Cucheron with one of the songs ending just as the local village church struck its bell for midnight, how perfect. It was an extraordinary time as we all lived together free and creative. This musical selection was our soundtrack, as they played each morning at the markets, then into the evening as we celebrated nightly with beautiful foods and wine. This recording was made during our last night together. Click here to see the album details and hear one of the songs.

Many photographic portraits were created with Jude's styling and beautiful couture. Many of the fashion creations will be presented this fall. In the mean time, you can see some of the portraits by clicking here.

It was an extra - ordinary experience, which seems more and more like a dream. Now we are back in L.A. in an other dream - land which has its own inspirations and pulse. Check back soon if you are interested to see what comes to the surface and is revealed next....
